TherapyNotes Achieves HITRUST AI Security Certification for TherapyFuel

TherapyNotes® is proud to announce that it has achieved the HITRUST AI Security Assessment & Certification for its AI-powered features, making it the first company in the behavioral health EHR space to earn this designation, separate from our existing HITRUST Certification for the TherapyNotes platform.

Unlike a standard HITRUST certification, the HITRUST AI Security Assessment & Certification specifically evaluates how organizations manage the unique risks associated with artificial intelligence, including data governance, model security, and responsible AI use. This distinction underscores our commitment to meeting the highest standards for AI-specific security and risk management.

In support of this commitment, we have also updated our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy to improve transparency and align with evolving data privacy laws. As part of these updates, our Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is now included within the Terms of Service for easier access and management. Because of this change, the separate BAA acknowledgment previously available in the TherapyNotes Subscription settings page has been removed.

We have also introduced a separate Privacy Policy for TherapyPortal, our patient-facing portal. This policy maintains the same robust protections for client data while focusing specifically on patient needs. It helps reduce confusion and ensures your clients feel comfortable using our services.
