This release introduces easier secondary insurance updates and enhances the Client Feedback Form to be session-specific.
We’ve made it easier to correct secondary insurance information after a primary payment has already been posted. If the secondary policy needs to be added, changed, or removed, you can now make those updates without removing the existing primary payment, as long as no secondary payment has been posted.
When the Secondary Policy is updated, TherapyNotes automatically recalculates patient and insurance responsibility, updates the applicable claim status, and accounts for existing patient payments or credits. Any secondary claims created or rebilled will use the updated policy information.

This enhancement makes it easier to correct changes in secondary coverage without undoing completed billing work, while keeping balances and claim information accurate.
We’ve enhanced the Client Feedback Form to connect feedback to specific appointments and provide clinicians with more meaningful insight into the client experience.
When completing the form, clients can now select the appointment they’re providing feedback about from their three most recent appointments within the last 30 days. Once feedback has been submitted for an appointment, that session cannot be rated again, helping ensure feedback is connected to the appropriate session.
The Client Feedback Form now also includes two scores to help clinicians better understand different aspects of the client experience:
Session Satisfaction: Based on questions 1–3, this score reflects the client’s experience of the session and therapeutic alliance.
Together, these scores provide additional context for understanding the therapeutic relationship alongside the client’s broader relational experience. Because the form is intentionally brief, it can be easily incorporated into routine care, creating more opportunities to gather feedback and inform conversations throughout treatment.
Like other TherapyPortal™ forms, the Client Feedback Form can be shared directly with a client as needed or set to Always Available. When Always Available, clients can complete the form whenever they have an eligible appointment that has not yet been rated. Client Feedback Form results can be viewed from the Documents tab of the patient’s chart.

By connecting feedback to individual appointments and providing clearer insight into different aspects of the client experience, this enhancement gives clinicians another way to inform conversations and strengthen the therapeutic alliance throughout treatment.
