What’s New: TherapyFuel ReFuel & ePrescribe Updates

This release brings greater flexibility and clinical context to documentation in TherapyNotes®. With new ways to refine TherapyFuel™-generated content and enhanced medication details in psychiatry notes, these updates give clinicians more control over their documentation while reducing repetitive entry and helping important information stay clear and accessible.

Refine TherapyFuel-Generated Notes with ReFuel

TherapyFuel is getting even more flexible with ReFuel, a new way to refine AI-generated content in Progress Notes using your own instructions. If generated content doesn’t quite capture what you need, tell TherapyFuel how you’d like it adjusted and ReFuel will regenerate the section based on your guidance.

Ask ReFuel to make content more concise, emphasize important session details, reorganize information, or make other adjustments to better reflect the session and your documentation needs. For example, try “Add more about the mental status exam to the Objective section” or “Rephrase this to be more client-centered.” ReFuel makes it easier to fine-tune your note without rewriting content or starting over.

You can ReFuel your documentation in two ways:

• Refine multiple sections: Select ReFuel from the TherapyFuel banner at the top of the note to choose one or more TherapyFuel-generated sections and refine them together.

• Refine an individual section: Select ReFuel within a TherapyFuel-generated section to refine only that content. You can review the updated version before choosing whether to replace the existing content or keep the original.

ReFuel works with TherapyFuel-generated content in unsigned Progress Notes, including the TherapyNotes Progress Note template, SOAP, DAP, BIRP, and other custom Progress Note templates. 

As always, review TherapyFuel-generated content for accuracy and make any necessary changes before finalizing the note with your signature.

Expanded Medication Details in Psychiatry Notes

We’ve enhanced medication documentation in psychiatry notes to provide more complete prescription details and clearer context about medications managed outside your practice.

For clinicians using TherapyNotes ePrescribe, additional details from DrFirst prescriptions will now automatically appear in psychiatry notes, including:

• Complex Instructions, such as directions for gradually increasing or decreasing a medication dose

• Do Not Fill Before Dates, when a prescription should not be filled until a specified date

• As Needed within the medication details when the PRN option is selected in DrFirst

We’ve also added an optional Prescribed By field for reported medications. Clinicians using ePrescribe can use this free-text field to document who prescribed or manages the medication, such as a clinician, PCP, outside provider, or other source.

Once saved, Prescribed By information will automatically carry forward when the medication is continued in future psychiatry notes and can be updated as needed.

Together, these enhancements make it easier to maintain complete medication documentation while reducing repetitive entry and providing important context directly within the note.
