As with all maintenance releases, TherapyNotes® 2026.05 includes numerous system-wide improvements, including bug fixes, performance enhancements, and usability adjustments. This release also includes additional features that will be announced and enabled next week. Here are some noteworthy updates available now.
TherapySearch™ helps prospective clients discover and connect with mental health professionals and practices that fit their needs. Through detailed clinician and practice profiles, TherapySearch gives practices an opportunity to showcase their specialties, services, treatment approaches, and availability; helping the right clients find the right care.
Now, we've made it even easier for clients to find the right practice with the addition of in-network insurance support for Practice Profiles.
Practice Profiles can now display the insurance providers accepted by your practice, helping potential clients quickly determine whether your services align with their coverage. Practice Administrators can manage accepted insurance providers directly from the Practice Profile using the insurance selector. Insurance selections are maintained separately from individual clinician profiles, giving practices greater flexibility in how they present accepted coverage.

Selected insurance providers appear as clickable tags on your public Practice Profile and are now included in TherapySearch results, making it easier for prospective clients to find practices that accept their insurance.
By helping clients identify practices that work with their coverage, this enhancement creates a more complete Practice Profile and improves the likelihood of connecting with clients who are a good fit for your practice.
Haven’t created your Practice Profile yet? Now is a great time to showcase your services, specialties, and accepted insurance plans to help more prospective clients discover your practice through TherapySearch.
For prescribers using DrFirst, reasons entered when stopping a medication will now automatically appear within psychiatry documentation alongside the medication information in Psychiatry notes, including Intake Notes, Treatment Plans and Progress Notes. This enhancement provides additional clinical context directly within psychiatry documentation, making it easier to understand why a medication was discontinued without needing to reference the original prescribing activity in DrFirst.
