As with all maintenance releases, TherapyNotes® 2024.11 includes numerous system-wide improvements, including bug fixes, performance enhancements, and usability adjustments. This release also includes additional new features that will be announced and enabled shortly. Below are some noteworthy improvements in today’s release.
Improved Statement Creation and Sharing
Like our recent update to Superbills, we have improved the process of creating and sharing statements to streamline your workflow. When creating a statement, you can now generate a preview to easily review the information and make any necessary changes before saving the final document.
Once saved, the statement is automatically made available as a new document within the patient’s Documents tab. This eliminates the need to manually download and upload the document back into TherapyNotes, optimizing the ability to share it with the patient on TherapyPortal.
Improved Policy Display in Note Header
We’ve improved the note header to display the patient’s insurance policy that was set for the specific date of service, rather than defaulting to the most recent policy.
New Appointment Billing History Tab
Billing History now has its own dedicated tab, providing the same detailed billing in a more convenient location. The “History” tab includes a list of all insurance and direct payments, plus a comprehensive billing activity history, related to the appointment.
Supervisory Claims Updated to Support Optum Requirements
TherapyNotes now supports the new Optum-specific requirements for commercial insurance supervisory claims that went into effect on October 1, 2024. Visit our help article for information on configuring your practice to meet Optum payer requirements for supervisory claim submission.
Updated Set Calendar View
The Set Calendar View dialog has been updated to sort the clinician list in columns, instead of rows, making it easier to find and select the right clinician.
Clinical Director Updates on Treatment Plans
When setting up a Clinical Director to sign off on Treatment Plans, only Clinical Administrators who are not supervised staff will be allowed to fulfill this role. Additionally, if the Clinical Administrator is both a Supervisor and Clinical Administrator, TherapyNotes will not allow that user to act in the role of Clinical Director for the sake of signing off on Treatment Plans.
Now in Beta: Secondary Insurance Claim Submission!
We’re thrilled to announce that our beta program for Secondary Insurance Claim Submissions is officially live! This highly anticipated feature is now being tested by a select group of beta users, who are helping us refine it prior to general release.
