Maintenance Release 2025.07

As with all maintenance releases, TherapyNotes® 2025.07 includes numerous system-wide improvements, including bug fixes, performance enhancements, and usability adjustments. This release also introduces new features that will be announced and enabled over the next few weeks. In the meantime, here are some noteworthy updates available now.

Psychiatric Advanced Directive (PAD) Information Form

We’re introducing the Psychiatric Advance Directive (PAD) Information Form, now available in the Library for you to share with patients through TherapyPortal™. This document can be used to inform patients 18 or older what a PAD is, including how to document their preferences for future mental health treatment and appoint a trusted health proxy to advocate for them during a mental health crisis. We’ve provided a template to get you started, and you can edit the form to meet the needs of your practice and state requirements before sharing. Once the form has been reviewed and acknowledged by the patient, the form will automatically update the PAD checkbox on the patient’s Info tab to record the acknowledgement, helping your staff stay informed.

Date of Birth on Staff Profiles

We’ve added a Date of Birth field to Staff accounts. This field can only be viewed or edited by the individual or by a Practice Administrator.

Enhanced Custom Form Builder

There is now an easier to use interface to add elements to custom portal forms, setting the stage for future enhancements.

Retiring Top (Classic) Navigation 

Since launching our redesigned side navigation last November, we’ve made further refinements based on customer feedback. We are now set to retire the classic top navigation on August 19th. If you’re still using the classic menu, now’s the perfect time to explore the updated experience before next Tuesday. To switch, simply navigate to your Display Preferences settings page and select Left Sidebar. It’s simple, intuitive, and designed to help you navigate faster.
