As with all maintenance releases, TherapyNotes® 2025.08 includes numerous system-wide improvements, including bug fixes, performance enhancements, and usability adjustments. This release also introduces new features that will be announced and enabled over the next few weeks. In the meantime, here are some noteworthy updates available now.
TherapyFuel Adjust Tone in Secure Messaging
We’ve expanded TherapyFuel to bring you Adjust Tone in Secure Messaging! Now, whether you’re messaging a client or coordinating with staff, you can instantly refine your messages to sound more formal, professional, concise, or descriptive with just one click. Need a quick, to-the-point reminder for a colleague? Choose concise. Sending an update to a client? Switch to formal. Adjust Tone makes your communication clearer, faster, and more professional without the extra editing.
Access to this feature depends on how your practice is enrolled in TherapyFuel. If your practice has TherapyFuel enabled for all clinicians, then all users in the practice, including administrative staff, can adjust the tone of their secure messages. If your practice instead has TherapyFuel enabled for selected clinicians, then only those clinicians will have access to Adjust Tone in Secure Messaging.
New “Assigned To” Column in To-Do Lists
We’ve enhanced the To-Do List on each patient’s record by adding an “Assigned To” column. This gives clinical admins, practice admins, and supervisors a straightforward way to see exactly who is responsible for each outstanding task. You can also sort tasks by assignee, making it easier than ever to monitor patient-specific To-Dos and ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
Global Search Prioritizes Active Patients
We’ve improved Global Search to make it easier to find the patients you’re looking for. Active patients that match your search criteria will now appear at the top of the results list, ahead of inactive patients. This change ensures that the most relevant results are always prioritized, helping you save time and reduce clicks when locating patient records.
Smarter Time Entry
When typing directly into a time field (instead of using the time picker), TherapyNotes now recognizes a wider variety of common time formats, including shorthand like “3pm.” Ambiguous entries are interpreted in the way users most often intend, and 24-hour format entries are honored exactly as written. For example, typing “13:00” will record as 1:00PM, and “3pm” will record as 3:00PM. These improvements make scheduling faster, easier, and less error-prone.
