Telehealth

TherapyNotes™ Telehealth is now free with your subscription! We are hopeful that our customers are using telehealth to stay safe during the pandemic, and we hope that making telehealth free is one more incentive to do so.

Please note that while one-on-one telehealth sessions will always be free, pricing for future enhancements such as group sessions has not yet been determined.

Additionally, we've introduced the following telehealth improvements:

  • The telehealth waiting room in the client portal has been completely redesigned for ease of use. Your clients will be able to join your sessions even more easily.
  • New appointments will automatically have "Use TherapyNotes Telehealth" selected if TherapyNotes™ Telehealth was used for the patient’s prior appointment.

Telehealth Customers: If you are having any issues such as choppy or frozen calls, or black screens, please upgrade to the latest version of your web browser and encourage your clients to do the same. The latest versions of Chrome and Safari have included fixes for these issues. Mac users should upgrade to MacOS 11.2 which was just released on 2/1. Of course, both parties also need a stable Internet connection.

Appointment Reminder Emails

Email reminders have been significantly improved, especially if your practices uses telehealth or paperwork on the portal. If you are not using appointment reminder emails yet, we strongly encourage you to use them with these new features! Email reminders are free and sent about 48 hours before each appointment to reduce patient no-shows. They can be sent in addition to text reminders, which are sent 24 hours in advance.

  • Email reminders have been redesigned with a cleaner layout, utilizing your portal color theme.
  • If the patient hasn’t signed up for their portal account yet, they will be be given instructions to do so in their email reminder without requiring you to send a new welcome email.
  • Email reminders will now encourage patients to complete any pending paperwork on the portal. Therefore, they will receive the first email when you send the paperwork request and the reminder about two days prior to their session.
  • Email reminders will now indicate if the appointment is a telehealth session and provides helpful information.
  • The page that patients see when clicking on the patient reminder email for more information has been completely redesigned and now indicates if the appointment is a telehealth session.

What Else?

  • Schedulers using very busy calendars may notice much faster performance.
