What's New: Enhanced Treatment Plan Settings

By TherapyNotes, LLC on April 24, 2025

Administrators can now configure whether a treatment plan is required or optional before creating a psychotherapy progress note. Although we strongly encourage treatment plans, it is a common request to allow progress notes to be written without one. If a treatment plan is required, you can now also set a maximum number of days it is applicable before a new plan should be completed. Practices that regularly review to ensure treatment plans are up-to-date for all patients can now simply set a maximum age and rest easy. This maximum age requirement setting works alongside the existing Treatment Plan Reminder setting on the To-Do List, allowing you to manage the reminder timeframe separately from the requirement itself.
