Maintenance Release 2024.09

By TherapyNotes, LLC on October 3, 2024

As with all maintenance releases, TherapyNotes® 2024.09 includes numerous system-wide improvements, including bug fixes, performance enhancements, and usability adjustments. TherapyNotes® 2024.09 also includes additional new features that will be announced and enabled shortly. Below are some noteworthy improvements in today’s release.

Return of Real Time Eligibility
We are excited to announce our Real Time Eligibility feature is available again through our new clearinghouse. With real time eligibility verification, practices can check insurance eligibility and benefits for their clients right within TherapyNotes at 14 cents per request. As part of this transition, we have also made a number of improvements to the eligibility report.

RTE1e

To get started, confirm “Enable Real Time Eligibility Verification” is checked on your Practice Billing settings page. You can determine payer enrollment requirements by visiting your Payers page and viewing the RTE column - those with a warning triangle icon will require enrollment. To enroll, open the payer and click the “Begin RTE Enrollment” button – instructions will open in a new window, and you’ll need to follow the provided steps to complete enrollment ahead of requesting eligibility verification.

RTE2e

To submit an eligibility verification request for your client’s insurance policy, simply click the “Verify Eligibility” button on their Billing Settings tab. A new report link will become available for you to review, containing all benefit and coverage details for the policy provided by the payer.

Telehealth Platform Upgrade
Basic and Premium Telehealth will be updated to a new platform on a rolling basis over the next few weeks. This shift in framework behind the scenes aims to increase reliability in our Telehealth offerings and paves the way for exciting additional features in the future.

When your practice is migrated to the new platform, you will see a new Network tab within your telehealth session. This new tab will show three statuses regarding your network: Stable, Slow, and Unstable. Please note that if you or your client get in an unstable network state, the affected user video will automatically turn off to prioritize the audio stream, ensuring that your conversation remains clear and uninterrupted.

Improved Payer Matching for ERAs
We’ve enhanced our payer matching logic to better account for ERAs received without an exact match to the practice’s list of payers. This update increases the likelihood that the correct payer will automatically be selected in the “Likely Matches” field when reviewing an ERA.

Buddhism Added to Religious Affiliations
You can now select Buddhism as a religious affiliation in the Patient Info tab and the Client Information form.

Mandarin and Cantonese are Now Available in Language Options
We have added Mandarin and Cantonese to the list of languages in the Patient Info tab and the Client Information form.
