Our first release of 2023 is one of our biggest releases ever. This version includes many new features outlined below, as well as many minor improvements and bug fixes. In addition this release also includes numerous new features, not listed here, that we will enable over time. This will allow us to improve the stability of releases, making it easier for us to troubleshoot issues that may arise from a release. We will announce these additional features as they are enabled. TherapyNotes now has 10 development teams, so get ready for an exciting year!
Scheduling and To-Do List
Work schedule markers in the calendar that show start and stop times for clinicians have been enhanced for those viewing multiple work schedules. Work locations are now included in Day View when viewing multiple clinicians. These markers are also more concise when applicable. For example, instead of “Jane Smith Starts”, the label says “Starts” if looking at Jane Smith’s calendar.
The "Confirm appointment requests" and "Process portal responses" To-Do items will now honor your setting to not show info about unassigned patients and properly separate your patient counts from the rest of the practice. If you have Scheduler access but only want to see these items for your own patients, you can simplify your to-do list.
Your patients can now optionally provide their name suffix (Jr., Sr., etc.) when requesting an appointment on the portal.
Billing
Real Time Eligibility reports have been improved, eliminating unnecessary blank sections. If you have not tried RTE in a while, we encourage you to review our latest improvements to this feature.
"TherapyNotes Credit Card Processing" service has been rebranded as “TherapyNotes Payment Processing” throughout TherapyNotes.
Sorting pending claims has been fixed on the Mark External Items page. You can now sort by Date or Clinician by clicking the column header. Regardless of your sort options, results will always be grouped by Patient.
The Place of Service codes have been updated:
ePrescribe
In compliance with the California Cures Act, TherapyNotes will now automatically send the prescriber’s license information with every request for PDMP (prescription drug monitoring program) data, such as when accessing a patient’s eRx tab. Prior to this update, TherapyNotes would only send the prescriber’s NPI, DA, and NADEA numbers. For more information, please visit the California Department of Consumer Affairs' website.
User Experience
When using TherapyNotes on touch devices, such as iPads or iPhones, TherapyNotes will no longer behave as though you tapped on a link when you were just scrolling, causing a dialog to unexpectedly open.
We've updated our supported browsers and operating systems. Users who access TherapyNotes with the following browsers will now see a warning on the login page:
Patient Contacts
Patient contacts now each display their calculated age based on their date of birth. This suggestion came from the TherapyNotes Community on Facebook. Be sure to join us!
More items will be made available from this release as we monitor the stability of each update. Please keep a lookout out for more awesome features!
