What's New: Time Zone on Portal Forms, Write Off Reasons, and Two New Outcome Measures!

Patient and Contact Time Zone on Portal Forms

A time zone field has been added to both the Client Information form and the Emergency & Other Contacts form so clients can specify their time zones.  The time zone information will automatically update the patient profile and contact profile when the form is processed in TherapyNotes.

Write Off Reason

Users can now select a reason when writing off a patient's balance.  A pre-defined list of write off reasons will appear when the 'Write off balance' box is checked. We will be adding the ability to run a report categorizing these write offs in the future. 

Outcome Measures

We have added two new outcome measures to our library, the Penn State Worry Questionnaire (PSWQ) and South Oaks Gambling Screen (SOGS). Clients can complete them in either English or Spanish. As with all outcome measures, completed measures will be scored and available to review and download.

Penn State Worry Questionnaire (PSWQ)

The PSWQ assesses the presence, intensity, and frequency of pathological worry in adults. While it does not serve as a diagnostic tool, higher scores indicate a likelihood of higher levels of worry, and changes in scores over time may clarify the impact of therapeutic interventions.

South Oaks Gambling Screen (SOGS)

The SOGS is a screener to assess the presence and severity of problem gambling. Note that some questions are not scored, but instead serve to provide information about a client's gambling habits. Total scores help clarify the likelihood of pathological gambling, but should be used in conjunction with a comprehensive assessment and clinical judgement.
