Practices can now enable their own client portal on TherapyPortal.com! Here is a summary of the features:
- Customized portal with your own logo and color settings
- Patients can view clinician availability
- Patients can request an appointment
- Practices can set some limits as to who/when appointment can be viewed or requested
- Individual clinicians can be enabled/disabled to be visible in the portal
- Clinicians and schedulers can approve appointment requests
- Patients can log in to view upcoming appointments and more quickly request appointments
Please read the help article for more information on how the portal works! It is important to understand how requests are approved and how patient accounts are managed by the practice.
We encourage practice admins to visit the Client Portal Settings page, enable your portal, and play with the portal to see how it works. Try requesting an appointment as though you were a new patient for example. When you're ready, start telling your patients about the new portal and put a link to it on your practice's web site!
We're very excited about the release of the client portal features. We will continue to add many more features to the portal over time. Be sure to send us your questions and we welcome your feedback.
Additional changes with this release
- "Insurance Providers" are now referred to as "Payers" throughout TherapyNotes. The word "provider" generally refers to the doctor in the case of medical claims, so this was confusing.
- Point your arrow at a payer's name for a new tooltip which includes the payer's name, payer id, telephone, fax number, and quick access to any pending claims to be submitted.
- On each staff member's page, practice admins can now view security details including last login date/time, browser/computer information, and network address. A convenient link to the activity log is also provided.
- Various minor improvements were made for supervisor accounts on the Staff page, the Patients page, and the Patients tab, making it easier to find supervisors and their supervisees.
- If you change your cash rates for a service, TherapyNotes will no longer update the rates for any previous items that were already submitted to out-of-network payers but are still pending payment.
- To-Do items for notes were improved to show the service code and offer a tooltip with appointment details.
- Support for another HSA card was added for credit card processing.
- Various bug fixes and other minor improvements were implemented.
